What’s a StoryWalk?
The StoryWalk at Tilton Park combines our love of reading with the outdoors! The pages from a children’s picture book are displayed in 10 stations along a hiking trail at Tilton Park. Residents and visitors of all ages will enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, while reading and spending time together. The StoryWalk at Tilton Park was designed by Sunapee Middle High School in collaboration with The Friends of the Abbott Library, The Abbott Library, The Sunapee Recreation Department, The Conservation Commission and Project Sunapee.
The 1 mile trail begins just past the playground at the top of the hill and consists of hills, grassy areas and woods. We recommend you wear sturdy shoes and bring some water. There are some portions of the trail that can be wet. The StoryWalk map can be found below and can be accessed by a QR code at Tilton Park.
Visitors are encouraged to share their StoryWalk experience on social media with photos, using hashtags #AbbottLibrary #StoryWalk.
“The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.”
